In the 80's, Shortly after Miner 2049er was originally released, I came across this article (published by Creative Computing) that includes strategy for navigating through the various stations (levels). I apologize for the qualify (or lack of) but even though I laminated these over 30 years ago, they do show signs of ageing and may be difficult to read. If you're new to this game, it will alleviate a lot of frustration and reduce the learning curve when trying to master this challenge.
