Lynx II Refresh/Mod Help

Hey guys, finally got around to ordering the LCD/vga kit and cannot wait.

I currently have my original lynx 2 it works great, no issues at all (save for the dates screen)

But I have a few questions;

While I have it on the bench, installing the McWill Modswhat else can/should I do?

Again, the system works perfectly stock, but as a preventative, Should I take this opportunity to replace all the capacitors, the zener diode/mosfet IC/power jack?

Also I would love to replace the stock speaker with something better, I noticed some older threads regarding a speaker upgrade, but has there been any recent developments?

Short answer, yes. You can get the capacitors, the zener diode/mosfet IC/power jack from Console5 and the speaker from Best Electronics among other components.

Thanks for the tips. Sounds like a plan, just what other components would one suggest?

Your welcome. I’m not sure if I’d actually suggest more, but I went crazy on mine. From Best, I also got a new flex circuit, silicone buttons, glass screen cover, of course the updated speaker which is a bit louder. I think that was it if my memory serves me well.
