VectorGamer
https://www.facebook.com/AtariIncBusinessIsFun/ Atari co-founder Ted Dabney had been diagnosed with esophageal cancer several weeks back. We had been asked not to post about it back then when we were first told about it, but the situation is apparently worse than before. Ted has decided not to seek treatment and has been given about 8 months to live. I’m very very sad right now. Ted’s a friend of mine and Curt's, a co-founder of our newer Syzygy company and I will always treasure the time we spent hanging out and hitting all the old Atari locations with him back in 2012. godslabrat
https://www.facebook.com/AtariIncBusinessIsFun/ This is a rough way to go. My sympathy for him is not as a geek or as a pioneer, but as a fellow human being.

jaybird3rd
How very sad. My grandfather had the same illness (among others), and like Dabney, he also decided not to seek treatment. A difficult decision, but one that everyone has to make for themselves. Best wishes to him.
