FYI, I've got the temperature specs of the LCD...

Operating Range: 0C to +50C. Storage Range: -10C to +60C.

I cannot believe the serendipity of the timing here.  I acquired two Microvisions from a thrift store several years ago, just dug them up TODAY, realized they've both got bad screens, googled info about the screens, and saw that you're offering new ones.  This is awesome.

At the moment there are 80 pre-orders. Thanks to all who have pre-ordered so far!

 

That's enough to at least get started on the prototype stage. I'm planning to get this started this week with the supplier. Drawings will have to get finalized, followed by production of 4 prototypes. The prototypes will take about 7 weeks to arrive.

 

Because these are just the prototypes, pre-ordering at the current special price can continue. Pre-orders won't end until it's time to order the production batch of screens.

Update: the engineering fee and prototype fee has been paid for. They've also sent me drawings based on the measurements I took. I need to review the drawings, and then they'll start in preparing artwork and making the prototypes (5 units).
