popmilo
So sad ... Thank you for so many good chats, excellent code and even better music. You will be missed. Happens to the best of us. Rest in piece.
ivop
What makes me more angry is that I did not realise that he was away of the boards for so long.... That's exactly what I was thinking when I posted the date of his last activity on AA in the other thread... I have not known him personally, but he was very knowledgeable about RMT and PoKey (like he always wrote it) and the Atari 800 in general. I remember feeling sort of relieved when he came back after a long hiatus after he told us he was going to sell everything because of a terminal brain tumor. That's when he posted his RMT 128 patch 8! It's sad to hear that the cancer did him in after all...
Matej
Can we finish that Mario 3 for Him? Have anyone source? A good heart has stopped beating, a good soul ascended to heaven... R.I.P
+MrFish
Can we finish that Mario 3 for Him? Have anyone source? I don't think so. I think he even lost the source code (hard drive failure or something). What we do have is the work he was doing with the original source code to SMB I (fully commented disassembly / reverse engineering). Geister
This is very sad. I did not know Bernhard, but the loss of someone who contributes to a community is a loss to all members.

+Stephen
Terrible news - I always like to think when someone stops posting they have just moved in with their hobbies, not actually passed on. My condolences to the family. Very sad also that nobody in his family knew how big of a community there is here, and no information of his passing was known.
twh/f2
Man this is so sad. Maybe I'm getting too old for this hobby. But it seems that too many people leave this "Atari world.." which I love so much. RIP Bernhard, RIP Ken, RIP Radek :-( Alles Gute Bernhard Alles Gute für deine Familie und Angehörigen. Vielen Dank für deine tollen Beiträge und Ideen. \thomas

+MrFish
BTW, something people might not know about the Super Mario POS 3 demo... Each time you hit <RESET> the game will go back to the title screen, but when you start the demo play, you will now be in the next successive level (The "World" number will change; I think there are like 20 or something). It's fun to look at all the level designs he did. Quite a lot to see here. Edited February 11, 2018 by MrFish
+JAC!
Very sad to hear about this. Your contributions to your hobby were very valueable. Rest in peace Bernhard.

JamesD
Sad news indeed. RIP AnalmuxA lot of major contributors to different 8 bit communities have passed away in the last few years, and stuff they were working on is often just gone. It's to the point where I've started sending backups of various projects to friends for release if I die. Probably something for everyone to consider.

Jinroh
Oh man, so sad to hear. Very much condolences for his family. His work has been inspirational to me, and was what got me into playing around with NES -> A8 experiments, though his talent was much more than mine. ^^ He'll be missed. RIP Analmux.
