I took the poll, but I have a peb. I haven’t hooked it back up since I got back into the TI last year. I have the 32k sidecar and just waiting on the TiPi to use 1 of my 3 Pi’s. Good times for the TI.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to a TIPI too!

I also wonder how many 32K sidecars are already out there just waiting for their expansion ports to be used?

I made 120 of the 32k boards. I stopped making them as of Fest West last year so I could focus on TIPI. Not sure how many Greg made after that. I've been contacted by a couple people checking for license to build and sell to others...

What is the max response count for one of these polls? 40? I expect most of the owners of the 32k board are not a part of this forum. And I know at PRGE we sold them to examples of people that only had interest in cartridge software and limited interest in their 4As.

If you be a newbie, or just someone that currently does not own a P-Box, this poll is for you!

There are many ways to expand, up to the level you want, so please let us know in this anonymous poll where you are currently at, and how far and by which route you plan to expand...or not expand. :)

I have 4 x PEB systems. Two are not TI boxes, as one is the PEB card connector board in a desktop PC case and the second is the connector board in a mid-tower PC case. I also have a CF7A+, a NanoPEB V.1, a NanoPEB V.2, and a NanoPEB F18A V1. Lots to keep me busy, and yet, I'm always in trouble needing help.

I have both a nanoPEB and one of Matt's 32K expansion boards, but right now, the nanoPEB is plugged into the console all the time. I'll likely switch it around when the TIPI is released. I have no desire for a full sized PEB, unless I could find a mythical beige one :)

The choices for "where will you be in two years" seemed mutually exclusive so I selected "other" but I'm very happy with the FinalGROM as my cartridge software device and the nanoPEB as my disk software device. Together, they make for a pretty good system. I'm looking forward to trying out the TIPI as well.

Just an idea here...

In the future when other 32K units are sold, which they probably will need to be after TIPI hits the retro-market, I'd be sure to enclose a 1/2 sheet of paper with every unit sold that describes what this forum is, what it can do for them and the address (ti99.atariage.com) on how to get here. The more the merrier!

it's an interface between a Pi3 (I believe) and the TI- here's more info on it here: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/265136-tipi-ti-994a-to-raspberry-pi-interface-development/page-13

Originally they were experimenting with the RPi 3 and now I've seen activity with the RPi ZERO.

For size and cost, using the "RPi Zero W" would probably be the best, especially for our use in headless mode. But that is just my uninformed opinion, they guys doing all the hard design and development work (Matt & Corey) are the ones to ask.

Whatever configuration is recommended, I just hope someone with a 3D printer steps up to the plate to enclose the whole thing for us.

the issue with the zero is you can only do wifi. and I prefer things to be wired so you don't have to retry when wifi blips.. bu that's just me

I sent photos and descriptions to Codemaster see if he makes anything he'll probably need a real one to prototype
