Ice on the roads. Work site cancelled. IT'S A SNOW DAY! I still love them (in my 50s). I stayed home and played, and played like a kid. Clowns and Balloons (Datasoft) and Light Cycles (New Atari User Bonus Disk Program, and others. Wow. I love discovering games I have never played before. The wonder of Atari. C&B is great in Paddle Option. Only a 16K program, but what a GEM. What do you do on your Snow Days?

My snow day was actually a freezing rain day, but I spent it playing with my Atari. I started finally going through all the disk sides of Pro© Atari's monthly disks, playing the games and music and watching the demos, etc. a few rounds of Crystal Castles, a bit of Congo Bongo too. I'll be hitting 50 this August, but as far as I'm concerned I'm still 25 and loving every minute of it! Game marathons rule! And all-nighters with Ultima! I'm a 25 year-old gamer until the day I die! And you bet I LOVE snow days too!

Late in my 50's but still love a snow day, not only does it make this god awful estate look nice but I get to be a kid with my daughter and throw a few snowballs, sadly my accuracy these days is some what off, barn door and all that. But after getting cold its back in for a gaming stint and of course there's some old Atari goodness played :)

Lovely thread idea...

My laptop comes home with me every night. With VPN access to work files and Jabra, I have no excuse not to work. :(

awe..... what's that?.... the bad weather took the lines down and the cell service too? so sorry, the roads are impassible. The satellite dish is snow and ice encrusted and in a dangerous place to clear... that's what happened, tep, that's what happened...

That works. Or I could use the old "my dog ate my router" excuse. :)

Nothing beats a freezing cold morning with the world wrapped in ice, when you wrap yourself in a warm blanket with a hot cup of good, dark coffee and some Donkey Kong or Bosconian on the 8-bit. The world is so complicated and messed up, it's good to unplug from the internet and the news and just see if you can get to the third cement factory screen this time.
