SearsRoebuck
Awhile back I bought a CIB 7800 with no controllers, so I have been using a Genesis 3 button. I am aware that the 2nd button doesn't work without a converter. (Which I will get at some point) However, on a couple of games I have noticed odd behavior. In the AtariAge Space Duel homebrew, the game starts right away and the shield is on constantly, until it runs out. In the 2600 games Astrosmash, the ship moves to the right when you start a game and keeps firing. Can't steer it at all. Any idea what the issue might be? +save2600
Genesis controllers aren't 100% compatible without an adapter, such as Edladdin's Seagul. Without it, games that require 2 buttons will exhibit goofy behavior as you're experiencing. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/229686-introducing-edladdin-controllers-for-the-7800/page-1?hl=+edladdin%20+seagul When it comes to Astroblast, check your difficultly switches... I bet you're starting in paddle mode. http://atariage.com/manual_html_page.php?SoftwareLabelID=985
