How rare are PAL Heavy Sixers?

I have a PAL Heavy Sixer with CX10 joysticks and the original gatefold Combat cartridge.

I was wondering how rare they are in the UK.

 

I have read on many occasions here on Atariage that they were not sold here in the UK, so is mine an exception to the rule or are they just wrong posts?

 

And sorry NO it is NOT for sale. Becuase I Love it too much.

Any info would be most appreciated.

Surprised to hear that. Pleased too - it means there's always hope to spot on in the wild - however unlikely. It's the sort of thing that might get missed in a charity shop and be mistaken for a plain old woody.

I'm wondering if it may not have been a US model that was retrofitted with a PAL TIA, modulator, etc. from a later PAL 2600.

 

Do you have any photos of the inside (including the PCB)?

PAL heavy sixers do exist, altough they're more scarce than their NTSC couterparts. Most of the units seem to be PAL-I (so for U.K and Ireland market), but there are also known units in PAL-B format (used in the rest of Europe (except France).
