tjlazer
Sounds like what you need is a GOTEK which will go nicely in that piece of crap SF354 drive you have!
ParanoidLittleMan
SF354 is with single sided drive. But even double sided floppy drive today is not good idea. Drives, disks are way too old and that makes whole usage very frustrating and unreliable. So yes, some Gotek or HxC floppy emulator. Or even better SD card based UltraSatan (as modern hard disk solution) - there is plenty of SW what will work from it too. Easy upgrades ? Look exxos site: http://www.exxoshost.co.uk/atari/

tjlazer
You need a 34-pin and floppy power extender to fit the GOTEK in the SF case. 3 standings and you can bolt it down and reassemble. I'm using Flashfloppy firmware. You can find them on eBay pre flashed.
