In the past two months, picked up:

* FlashRom99 from ebay (then learned about FinalGrom)

* FinalGrom (from arcadeshopper.com) then 3D printed a case/label for it

* new-ish TI 99/4a (black/silver) +speech syn. off ebay

* TI coffee mug (arcadeshopper.com)

* nanoPEB Case (arcadeshopper) + 3D printed version for testing

* Sidecar 32k (arcadeshopper)

* TIPI & Power Supply (arcadeshopper)

* Exrta SD cards, Pi 3B+ (for TIPI)

Uh oh, I might have a problem.... I work too much, haven't had a chance to try the TIPI yet!!! Probably won't get to try it out til next week :(

I have definitely surpassed my vote I cast already for TI spending for this year! Some times you have to push the envelope...

Gawd, me too! But the guys here keep coming up with good chit! It seems everytime I turn around, there is somethinmg I *NEED*. Problem is, I have stuff that I no longer use taking up space now, but I still want more! I got one thing in the mail today, expecting another on Monday, and I'm chomping at the bit to see the drawings of the new RPi case with the I2C window to match the 32K/TIPI case. The only thing that may save me is summer, the time where things usually die down a little.

The question that was not asked is: how much are you willing to spend on a gear for your retro computer of choice?

I have not bought anything recently, but that does not mean I'm not a junkie or unwilling to spend stupid amounts of money if the opportunity presented itself. Also, it was unclear to me if, for those making hardware, the cost of things like electronic components, prototype PCBs, etc. count as money spent on the computer? If that is the case then I easily fall into the last category.

Same goes for the question about time. Building hardware takes a lot of time, as does things like writing emulators, which is not exactly spending time using the computer directly.

Perhaps related to Matthews point, a poll asking "how much time do you spend producing anything TI-related in terms of software, hardware, documentation, or support". If time is equated to money, there certainly is a lot of spending in these circles.

Now that is an understatement! :) I really don't know how you guys find the time to do all these wonderful products. There has got to be HUNDREDS of hours poured into these projects and a more than a fair amount up UPFRONT money being spent.
