lokidchser
going through all my extra retro games, and came across these. The keypads themselves are the same, but the plug is different from the others. Anyone know what these are all about?
bikeguychicago
Are the countries of origin different between the versions? That could possibly explain some of it.
lokidchser
two of the sets both have Mexico as the country of origin, one with the Atari connectors, the other with the strange ones
phattyboombatty
Mine are like that too. I wouldn’t call the connectors strange, but they are unlike the standard molded ones from my 1981 joysticks and paddles. I got mine in a pickup. I wonder if they are late 80s releases. BassGuitari
I think the Odyssey 2 systems with the separate joystick controllers used these connectors. And I believe AMP also made SIO connectors and cables for the Atari 400/800 (pretty sure I have one). Definitely not late '80s (I'm almost certain no Keyboard Controllers were even manufactured after the reorganization/formation of Atari Corp. anyway). I've had some of these forever but never thought much of them. I see them at least as often as keyboard controllers with standard Atari connectors.
