OK why is this Super Game Module going for so much?

Got notification in email from eBay saved searches, one SGM popped up at very low starting bid with BIN of $90. Within 12 hours it's up to about $125 and still has under 6 more days left.

 

Is the Colecovision printing that valuable since OPCode isn't using Colecovision logo anymore?

I'd imagine there's a certain type of gamer who don't care to visit forums or know of Atari Age's storefront.

Factor in the yuppie hipsters out there who have to have their toys asap and yeah... Ebay can be a dangerous place.

I've seen games that sat a while or didn't sell for $60 go for $150 in a bidding war a month later. Just timing perhaps.

AA store has em for $90 (presell maybe?) but it's cheaper than eBay listing if you don't mind waiting and not getting Colecovision logo.

I get annoyed when this stuff ramps up in price, even if I already own it. Do you realize how much a copy of Ninja Five-O goes for on eBay? Way too much. These days, people get this stuff as status symbols, rather than to actually use them.
