Gloria (2600) - based on the Haibane Renmei story

I can't stop, just can't. This game will be based on maybe the most beautiful anime series, Haibane Renmei. I decided to make this a puzzle game, using your halo to make teleport jumps. Still have a long way to go, but I wanted to show you the beginning.

I also loved these, Texhnolyze got a bit carried away at the end.though and they killed my favorite character too soon. :/

Sorry, somehow the gameplay did no work out well as I tested it, so I saved my ideas and made Fear of the Dark. That game was finished recently.

Somehow I missed this before - loved Haibane-Renmei. I only have DVDs 1 & 4 though. A friend had been lending me the series, I had DVDs 2 & 3 on hand when my mom visited from out of country^*. I thought she'd enjoy it, so picked up #1 so she could see it from the beginning. She did, so I picked up 4 and we watched them all before she returned home. After mom left I returned the loaned 2 & 3 and never got around to picking up my own copies. Looks like only one still available is a 1 DVD collection, bet the compression is pretty crappy compared to having the 13 episodes spread over 4 DVDs. Just found #2 and 3 used on Amazon, have them on the way for only $11.67 for both

 

Also loved Serial Experiments Lain, and I do have all 4 DVDs of it. Haven't watched it in a long time, will have to rip them and put them on my Mac mini DVR.

 

Have not seen Texhnolyze, sounds interesting. Just ordered it as well.

 

 

 

^* dad's job took them to Mexico, Trinidad and Tobago, and Equatorial Guinea - dad also ended up in Nigeria, but mom opted to return stateside instead of going there.

Fear the Dark also looks amazing. You definitely push the limits of originality and asthetics.
