COREi64
Ok, hot on the heels of the UNOcart, I'm about to finish the 1200XL Cart Extender Board case with the correct end/shield to prevent cartridges from being inserted incorrectly. I know there are/were TWO versions of this released by Drop Check (I have both), but this case is for the PCB that's 90mm long. Here are some renders so you can see what I've come up with. Same applies with all my cartridges... heatsets and hex head screws hold this whole package together. Will post finished pictures once I'm done. The finished product is going to have some embossed text on the top because... well... that vacant space needs something! And, I guess it goes without saying that it works on a 1200XL... irich2
Looks good! Edited June 26, 2018 by irich2
Dropcheck
I highly recommend this shell. The PCB itself is difficult to use with brown Atari cartridge shells. This provides the replacement lip of the cartridge guide to force the trap doors open.
Wilheim
Nice project! Is it possible to make connector upwards instead of an horizontal one? I think it would be cooler! Edited June 26, 2018 by Wilheim
NISMOPC
Nice project! Is it possible to make connector upwards instead of an horizontal one? I think it would be cooler! And it could cater to 65XE/130XE owners too?!?!
Dropcheck
I already have a dual RA cartridge for the 65/130XE computers. No shell currently available though. Have not had enough interest for a single RA 1200XL cartridge extension board yet. Not that it couldn't be done.
COREi64
Finished "tweaking" the design, and this should be good to go. Thomas COREi64
irich2
COREi64, I'm interested in one when they become available for sale (I just bought Dropcheck's 1200XL Cartridge Extender Board to put in it!). And I'm looking forward to casing my UNOCarts in your new 1200XL friendly cases that I ordered from you recently, too!! Thank you for supporting the Atari 8-Bit Community with your fine products! -irich2
KLund1
When ready, could you post a pic of this inside a 1200XL
COREi64
Finished the cartridge tonight... and as requested, shown working in my 1200XL. Because of the size of the cartridge, and additional hardware, I'll be selling this cartridge case for $26.95 USD for 200 micron, and an extra $6.95 for high res (100 micron). I'll post it on the shop tomorrow, but direct from me will get you cheaper shipping. Those that have an UNOcart purchased, I will add it to your shipment for no additional shipping costs if you get the order in before I get your package on it's way. Here are the photos of the finished product. Thomas COREi64

To offer both lengths? The reason I ask is that the only pcbs I have in inventory, and will be offering in the future, are the shorter ones. COREi64
Hi, You actually sent me the short board when I placed my last order. I will be modifying the design for the shorter board, so as to offer both. Thomas COREi64 How hard would it be to slightly reduce the length of the shell body? To offer both lengths? COREi64
I now have cases for both versions of the Dropcheck 1200XL cart extender The two versions of the 1200XL that I have measure 104mm, and 109mm each in overall length. These are the two boards the cases are based on: 109mm overall length: 104mm overall length: Here are the two cases: Thomas
