insertclevernamehere
So my Colecovision lasted just 7 months. It was always a bit temperamental. I could never get a cartridge to work by pushing it all the way down. I'd always have to wriggle them up a little and turn the console on and off to find the sweet spot. Only usually took 2 to 3 attempts but last night I tried 3 cartridges (Frenzy, Frogger and Miner 2049er) about 10 times each. Maybe not that much by the time I got to the third game. Could never find the sweet spot. After a while, all I was getting was a plain blue screen. Seeing as Collectorvision and Opcode are both bringing out new, backward compatible consoles, hopefully in the first half of 2019 and I also have an Atari 2600 to scratch my retro itch, I was thinking of shelving my Colecovision carts until one of the new consoles came out but maybe the solution to my Colecovision woes is quicker and easier than I think. I also don't want to just throw it away just because it doesn't work. Sacrilegious, I know. Anybody got any advice?
ColecoJoe
Did you try cleaning the cartridge slot and the power switch?
Ikrananka
Might also be worth trying a different power supply if you can.
