Shockwave Cheat Codes

Alright I have been trying to beat this game for months and am having a hard time. Once you get to Level 3 (Las Vegas) It seems near impossible to survive.

 

So there are cheat codes for this game posted all over the internet but I have tried to activate the "Invincibility" code and no matter what I do it will NEVER activate it. Therefore I always die.

 

Have any of you that play Shockwave been able to activate the Invincibility code or can confirm if what code (button presses) is incorrect online and know the correct code?

 

I would love to be able to beat this one!

Man Shockwave was hard. I beat it without cheat codes way back when I first got it so if you can't get them to work just keep at it. Its beatable, it's just really frickin' hard.

It's super hard, I seem to do fine with the bullets/missiles but when I get to certain parts it get blasted and my health just shoots way down and I die. There are Invincibility codes but some are different than others and I can NEVER get them to actually work when I do everythign the instructions tell me to do!

I just beat this game last year and I was able to use cheat codes all the way through. If I recall, there is definitely a trick to getting it to work multiple times. Something about dying at the beginning of each level and then putting the code in or something like that. That game is insanely hard though, even with cheats I still couldn't pass some levels the first try. That sound effect when you run into something is still firmly lodged into my head.

 

If you still have trouble, I'll see if I made any notes and maybe I'll try to replicate it again on my system.

So if the code doesn't go in right it will straight up quit the game.

 

I really hate the whole master cheat then code option for this game and others that have a master code. But agree that the game is super hard and nearly unbeatable without codes! I'd love to finally beat this one so I could play the expansion and the sequel as well without just getting killed all the time!

3DO Interactive Multiplayer Cheats - Shockwave

Cheat mode:

Press P to pause game play while firing the laser. The laser must be visible on the screen after the game is paused. Then, press B, A, B, A(3), B, A, B, A, C, X. The game will resume to confirm correct code entry. Note: The code only remains active for the current mission.

Mission complete:

Enable the "Cheat mode" code. Press P to pause game play. Then, press B, A, C(2), A(3), X. The game will resume to confirm correct code entry.

Mission skip:

Enable the "Cheat mode" code. Press P to pause game play. Then, press C, A(4), C, A, X. The game will resume to confirm correct code entry. The current mission number will increase by one. For example, use this code four times during Mission 1 and quit. The next mission played will be Mission 5.

Super missiles:

Enable the "Cheat mode" code. Press P to pause game play. Then, press C, A(2), B, A, X. The game will resume to confirm correct code entry. Powerful, fast moving, rapid reload missiles will now be available.

Super lasers:

Enable the "Cheat mode" code. Press P to pause game play. Then, press C, A(2), B, A, C, A, X. The game will resume to confirm correct code entry.

Smart bomb:

Enable the "Cheat mode" code. Press P to pause game play. Then, press A, C, A, B, A(2), C, A(3), X. The game will resume to confirm correct code entry. All aliens and alien objects currently visible on radar will be destroyed.

Invincibility:

Enable the "Cheat mode" code. Press P to pause game play. Then, press A, B, A, C, A(2), B, A, X. The game will resume to confirm correct code entry. Invincibility with unlimited weapons, shields, and energy will be available.

Recharge:

Enable the "Cheat mode" code. Press P to pause game play. Then, press B, A(4), B, A, X. The game will resume with full energy, shields, and missiles to confirm correct code entry.

Display player's name:

Enable the "Cheat mode" code. Press P to pause game play. Then, press B, A, B, X. The game will resume to confirm correct code entry.

Display programmer's message:

Enable the "Cheat mode" code. Press P to pause game play. Then, press B, A, C, A, C, A, X. The game will resume to confirm correct code entry.

Cockpit display:

The vertically moving green light on the left of the cockpit display represents the number of pieces of information currently being received from the CD drive.

The small colored dot in the lower right corner that changes color indicates memory fragmentation.

The graph-wave on the left corresponds to the current frame rate and the number of video blocks loading for each frame

The graph-dots on the right corresponds to the number of FMV actors that are in that mission updated every eight frames.

And to follow up, yeah, pressing X (stop) at the end of the cheat is annoying because if you get it wrong, you're starting over. When you finish it, be sure to check out the Milk Run bonus mission which is weird and fun. A lot of the cheat code websites neglect some of those necessary details noted above.
