mr_gw454
Hello everyone, I have one of the HiLetgo UNO R3 clones and I'm in the process of building an SDrive Max unit. The flash programming seems OK and the display works. I've calibrated it and able to see the SDrive software running on it. I am doing the wiring of an SIO cable to the UNO board and noticed the RX pad and A5 ANALOG IN pad seem connected when I check continuity. Is that correct? As such, this does not work right now. I am unable to access any of the virtually mounted drives when connected to my 800XL. Thanks for helping someone who just might be clueless. +DrVenkman
You’re using the wrong vias. Use the next row higher (closer to those male header pins).
mr_gw454
You’re using the wrong vias. Use the next row higher (closer to those male header pins). My fault completely! I was looking at label alignment. Wow, missed that and thank you for the help! Edited July 31, 2018 by mr_gw454
NISMOPC
Based on what you did, you should only need to move the RX and TX wires over. The 5V and Gnd are duplicated.
mr_gw454
Last update -- thank you to DrVenkman for pointing out my obvious blunder. I corrected the SIO cable connections and everything works great! I did not add the diode yet (to make it compatible alongside other disk storage devices) but may do so at some point. Big thank you to remowilliams for the 3D printed case. Fit's perfectly. I also did a speed test using RWTEST.COM (screen shot attached).
