You will need to load a DOS before being able to save to disk.
emarti
Ok. I loaded DOS2.5. How to return from DOS to BASIC without RESET? Edited August 1, 2018 by emarti
_The Doctor__
If the image is empty you need to load DOS then write it to the empty disk, Init, then write DOS select the run cartridge option from the 2.5 menu that takes you to basic type DOS while in basic takes you back to DOS menu make sure mem.sav is active and if using 130XE or expanded memory computer you can use ramdisk to speed up the process Edited August 1, 2018 by _The Doctor__

_The Doctor__
and that choice is usually B on most DOS menus if you are using XL XE do not press option during boot, if using and 800 or 400 make sure basic cart is plugged in... in this way BASIC is available to move freely to and from Edited August 1, 2018 by _The Doctor__
