48kRAM
All, Now that I have the stereo POKEY mod installed in my 800XL, I'm converting a bunch of my favorite tunes to XEX to run on real hardware. I'm using asapconv like: asapconv --tag -o foo.xex foo.sap and copying the results to SIO2SD. Many of the files play fine, but occasionally I'll get one that "glitches" during playback. Basically, it sounds like playback stops for ~2 seconds and the POKEY just keeps on playing the last thing in its registers. Playback resumes afterward and sounds fine. Could this be an issue with asapconv or will some SAP files just do this? The SAP files in question play fine in, say, Foobar2K w/ the ASAP plugin installed. As an example, the tune Windy Mind (from asma38/Composers/Grayscale) exhibits this issue, while "Let it Roll" from the same folder does not. Glitch occurs on real HW and in Altirra. Thanks, -Josh
Xuel
How far into Windy Mind does the pause occur? I'm not hearing an obvious pause in the XEX that I get from asapconv: Windy_Mind.xex Edited September 4, 2018 by Xuel
