Killjoyy27
Hello All, For two weeks now I tried to reach out to AtariMax to buy a Maxflash USB and and an 8mbit cart for my Atari 800. I did not want to put my cc right into the pay system. I emailed them 4 times now trying to see if their are any options for PayPal. I cannot get a response at all either way. It’s a shame from what I can see it looks like a really great option for my Atari 800. Does anyone know what’s going on with them or know another way to contact them as I would really love to get one these kits. Or even someone else I could buy this from ? Thanks you for any help in advance Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
snicklin
Do a search through this forum, this is a well discussed topic . They are reliable, albeit slow and don't talk much. It is a night time job, so is done when time allows.
H454
Most of the flash cart guys won't use paypal - The guy who makes the LTO cart for the inty had paypal tell him what he was selling is prohibited. I've bought from atarimax using his check-out. It's probably as / more secure than paypal. He is a U.S. seller - not some random Chinese shady site. Paypal is terrible to anybody that does anything close to real business.
scitari
I had a defective product and never had any emails returned. Be aware when you buy that you might be SOL.
Marius
I had a defective product and never had any emails returned. Be aware when you buy that you might be SOL. You might be the single person in the entire universe with this experience with Tucker. Any chance those e-mails got in your junk/spam? I have bought several items the last 15 years and never had any problem with his aftersales support. There was a product that needed replacement after 10+ of intensive use. He replaced it instantly without any costs. I once ordered items that were fabulous, but after some time (And use) I realised they were not exactly what I was looking for. Got my money returned instantly. And then I'm not starting about product quality. Outstanding PCB's and excellent solder jobs. It turned out that on some of my weaker PAL XE computers the MyIDE-CPLD JTAG firmware needed an update. He could not repeat the issue at his place, so Tucker sent me 8 versions of firmware for me to test out. Great great great support. Most (if not almost all) people here know Tucker as a honest and good guy, who would never take your money. There must have gone something wrong. Try to reach him again.

I am just saying he doesn't reply to my emails and I sent several over multiple days.

Check your spam folder too.
BillC
I had a defective product and never had any emails returned. Be aware when you buy that you might be SOL. It's been quite a while(2012) but when one of the 8Mbit flash cartridges I had purchased was problematic Steve provided a diagnostic, and then replaced the defective cartridge after it failed the diagnostic.
