Clint Thompson
I plan on taking out the 130XE with Touch Tablet to a local vintage computer club here in Indy next weekend (if you're in the area, you should join up!) and requesting suggestions for our beloved machine to show off. The topic or theme we're focusing on this round is plotting/graphics, thus the reason I'm bringing the Touch Tablet and Atari Artist. Outside of Yoomp! and Atari Artist plus possibly the CES 84? Robot/Spaceship demo to show off, does anyone have recommendations on some graphically groundbreaking games or graphic-related software that I should seek out to have on hand to display?
+davidcalgary29
Does it have enough to show Numen? -Star Raiders and MIDI Maze: to show how the A8 landscape changed from 1980 to 1989. -Time Pilot, for a modern example of programming. -Some of Gunstar & Philsan’s pix. I particularly love Gunstar’s Korea pix.
Rybags
Plenty of RastaConverter pics you could grab from the thread that's fairly active. More games - Time Pilot, Scramble, Bosconian, Ridiculous Reality, Cropky, Stunt Car Racer, RGB. I think Numen might be too big. Maybe Asskicker, Drunk Chessboard, and some of the Arsantica ones.
Gunstar
I really like the demos Cyberpunk and Near, I don't recall if they take more than 128K though...
E474
WayOut, Encounter and Mercenary for real-time 3D graphics more than 30 years ago.
Heaven/TQA
Beware... our Arsantica demos are for PAL.... not tested or adapted for NTSC.... but glad they were mentioned. Before I would show Way Out why not Capture the flag instead?
Heaven/TQA
What about Star Raiders 2 proto? And Rescue ob Fractalus or Eidolon or koronis Rift. Edited January 9, 2019 by Heaven/TQA

E474
Worth noting that WayOut, Encounter and Mercenary all ran on the original 400/800 series.
+Nezgar
If you have an ultimate cart or atarimax 8mbit maxflash you can play r0ger's bad apple demo with as little as 64KB RAM. Also, side2 to play high sample rate PWM digital audio, or 60FPS video+audio But for good titles to demo from the 80's, ball blazer, rescue on fractalus, drop zone, moon patrol, blanking, so many more For koalapad or Atari touch tablet planetary defense is good. Missile Command or Millipede with native Trak Ball mode. I love kaboom in pitch & catch mode with paddles. Castle crisis is a newer 4-player paddle game port I'd like to try with 4 player paddles.
+Nezgar
Does it have enough to show Numen? On an NTSC machine, Numen outright tells you to "upgrade" to PAL. and it needs 320KB RAM too...

Marius
"ECKN+" (http://a8.fandal.cz/detail.php?files_id=5917) This is one of my all time favourite games. Many games come and go in my favourite list, but only a few will always be there. Eckn+ is one of them. Great concept, very well coded and very addictive too. People would love to play it when they move along your Atari. It does not require much joystick skills, and there are not much rules to understand. It is just a matter of observation; and (which is also cool!) there is a SAVE-Hi-Score built in and a short-game mode (2 minutes). So it is an excellent example for the occasion. I am wondering though whether it is NTSC compatible (can someone confirm that?)
