redsteakraw
So as we know on the Atari once something was popular there were other publishers rushing to have their own version. With clone games being mirrors of each other which one did you like better? Phoenix or Demon Attack Battle zone or Robot Tank Space Invaders or Gorf Star Raiders or Starmaster Kaboom or Beat 'Em & Eat 'Em You can name other clone pairs and pick your favorites. Feel free to comment below and if you feel a game is unfairly labeled as a clone but is substantially different comment as well.
pacman000
Demon Attack over Phoenix, tho both are good games. Hey, did you know Kaboom itself is a clone? Atari made an arcade game, Avalanche, with a similar concept in 1977: http://www.atarimuseum.com/videogames/arcade/arcade77.html

I agree with the Demon Attack over Phoenix.
nick3092
I wouldn't call Gorf a clone of Space Invaders. Yeah, the first level was basically Space Invaders. But the other levels were quite different. Granted, the goal was to still shoot all the aliens. But they moved in different patterns and had different attacks than SI style. Plus it had the mothership on the last level.
