israelg
I got a new lg 4K TV and connected my android tablet (S4) to this TV using HDMI, The TV is stuck on 30hz and emulators run very slow, Disable the vSync causes tearing effect, The problem is: the tablet is streaming in the native TV res. (4K), No problems when connecting to 1080P/720P TV. Can I force 1080P on 4K TV ? by the way CRT shaders look great on 4K TV... Any suggestions ??? Albert
I assume you are using an adapter to get HDMI output from your S4? If so, it's possible the adapter only supports 30hz and/or the older HDMI standard. It wasn't until HDMI 2.0 that you could get 60hz 4K video from HDMI. Also make sure you are using a "modern" HDMI cable that supports at least HDMI 2.0. ..Al

And the cable is old, but is this make a difference ? I thought all hdmi cables are the same...
mr_me
Maybe that's the best the tablet can do at 4k. I'd see if there's settings in the tablet to set hdmi output to 1080p60.
Albert
I doubt the HDMI cable will make much difference, especially over short distances. I'd bet that cheap HDMI adapter only supports 30Hz, though. Do you have a link to the adapter you bought on eBay? ..Al

israelg
Tab S4 connected to 1080P monitor using USB-C to VGA adapter, 60hz, BUT wrong aspect ratio, which is forced to 16:10 causing borders on left and right, Also connected wired to Anker speaker to prevent audio lags with Bluetooth...
