Atari 810 Drives with Happy Enhancements for Sale

Hi everyone,

I have 5 Atari 810 Disk drives that I'm looking to sell. Two of them have Happy enhancements in them. The two drives with the Happy enhancements work but sometimes will not read or write disks. Two of the other drives turn on, disk spins, etc, but will not read disks either. The 5th drive is not complete, but has some parts missing.

If anyone is interested in purchasing them, please let me know. I live in Monroe, NC and could either ship them or meet to give them to you. I really don't know what they are worth in the condition that they are in, but the Happy enhancements both worked the last time the drives read disks.

Thanks!

-Kevin

Hi guys,

I just wanted to clarify that these drives DO NOT include power supplies. Also, since I am in shelter in place right now, I will have to ship via a provider that will come to my home to pick them up. (I think all three do UPS, FedEx and USPS, but I'm not sure.) Also with 5 drives, wrapped with plenty of padding, I estimate that the package will be a pretty good size box. I will try to get better estimate for shipping but I live in Monroe NC so you can probably get a pretty good estimate on one of the price calculators yourself as well. Also, I will want the payment up front via PayPal, but I promise to ship the package within 3 days of receiving payment, as long as the company shipping can pick it up within that time. If you have a preference between UPS, FedEx and USPS (and if they will all pick up from my home), then I will go with whatever carrier you decide, since you will have to pay the shipping. If you would like to see pics of the drives or have any other questions, please let me know.

Currently being glued back together and repaired, could use 3 complete 810 cases...

getting them shipped during the shutdown proved quite a challenge.

looks like the Gorilla from the American Tourister luggage commercial had fun with them.

Darn, that sucks @_The Doctor__... maybe ping bob wooley re cases? Or maybe a new run of metal cases like the ol' B&C metal cases. :)

Just wanted to comment that there are probably still early happy 810 ROM's out there that haven't been dumped yet... Although the way most are installed makes them pretty difficult to 'remove' for dumping... Might be some tools to do so mostly via software on the forum here somewhere...
