Movement1957
Hi, I lost 2 out of the 4 screws in my lynx 1. Does anyone know the correct size so I can order replacements. I have one long and one short screw. Please help
Nop90
You need other two screws like the two you already have. One short and one long. The two short go on one side and the long two on the other.
Movement1957
Do you know the size? I can not find a spec on the size of the screws. I want to order online
+Stephen Moss
I think it unlikely that anyone would have documentation that specified the size so you will have to measure them, a steel rule with 0.5mm graduations would be more accurate than a plastic one but a vernier caliper would be the most accurate and the ideal tool to use if you have access to one. The width across the outside of the thread should give you size (diameter). The length is obtained by measuring the threaded section only (if the underside of the head is flat) or the entire length if it is counter sunk (underside of head is tapered), I would expect you to have the former. The type can be determined by whether or not it comes to a point (self tapping) or has a flat/square end (thread formed/machine screws), again I would expect you to have the former. sirlynxalot
Take them down to a hardware store and eyeball the replacements. It'll probably work out ok and the cost of two screws will be less than a dollar.
Movement1957
I went to home depot and I found the same size but not the same thread size.
