New Game Idea

Back in the Mac Classic days (all the way back in the late '80s) there was a game called Bolo.

This game was multi-player, but you could have 1 or more computer opponents (you vs them, or multiple people against multiple computers. You could create teams.)

 

Anyway, the graphics were fairly simple, and while it did take advantage of the mouse, i thinkk it could be made to work with joystic and keyboard maybe?

 

 

The goal was to use your tank to capture pill boxes. Once you captured one, you could deploy it wherever you wanted. You could build a fort filled with them and eventually get them all.

 

The gameplay was on an island and tanks started on a boat in the water and had to come to shore and then try to collect pillboxes. There were several bases where you could capture them and then use them to repair tank damage, but it took time after capture befire it could repair.

 

Anyone looking for a challenge??? (Even just for 1-1 player vs computer...)

I take it back. I just downloaded xbolo and it uses all keyboard controls!

I loved Bolo on the Apple ][. It would be great to see this come to the A8.
