Atari - Tandy?

Ive got a Tandy color computer 2 from my childhood. I dont have many games but some one told me that Atari 8-bit computer carts would work in this can anyone verify this? (Ive never seen an 8 bit cart nor do i own one)

No, Atari 8-bit carts will not work in the Tandy, so don't get too excited.

I own both and can tell you with out looking they wouldn't even fit. But no, the processors aren't compatable Z80 vs 6502 (or that later one whatever its called i forget 650c2 or whatnot)

Actually, the Color Computer uses a 6809 processor; it was only the "business class" machines that used a Z-80 (or better).

 

There are some excellent games for it, but most were released on tape or disk. I honestly cannot think of any really decent cartridge-based games excent Space Assault (a Galaxian-clone).

 

Atari 8-bit carts will not even fit into the slot. Coco carts are very wide.

Aww Poo oh well looks like i really gotta look cause coco carts arent easy to come by
