+-^CrossBow^-
Anyone have any idea where I might instructions to some of the Atari 8-bit cart based games? Specifically I picked up a Sub Commander cart this past weekend for a buck. Problem is I haven't any idea on how to play this game on my 800xl. It comes up fine and I did figure out that the number keys control speed. But that is all I was able to do. Any online resources that could give me a better idea on how to play this game? Thanks in advance...

I guess we better get cranking on that 8-bit section, eh? I think I own an original Submarine Commander, complete with docs. If I can locate it this weekend, I'll scan the manual for you, unless someone beats me to the punch or finds it online somewhere. I haven't seen an online repository of 8-bit manuals, but that doesn't mean one doesn't exist. ..Al
+-^CrossBow^-
Thanks Albert! So far I have asked around and nobody seems to know of anywhere on-line with this info. And nobody in the RGVC seems to have it...(or willing to scan for me that is...). Anyway, it would be the coolest if you could do that for me this weekend. The game looks intriquing and I really like these old naval games on the older systems. I still think Sub Hunt on the INTV is awesome given the limitations of the hardware at the time. Anyway, Thanks!
Pitfall Harry
The instruction manual for the Commodore 64 version of Submarine Commander will tell you everything you need to know to play the Atari 8-bit version. You can download a copy of it here... http://project64.c64.org/games/m-z/ Just click on item 170 on the list that appears when you link to the page. +-^CrossBow^-
Rock! Ben dude...thank you! Maybe now I can go home later and actually figure this game out. It looks to play alot like INTV Sub Hunt...only with some slightly better game play. Cool. Thank you again,
