The Helper
Well, I have decided that I am going to put the rest of my stuff out on eBay to try and raise a little money to fill out my NUON games collection. I figure I can get at least 100 bucks out of the stuff I have (have a CD Unit also). Hopefully a little more though because even at 30$ a game that is only 3 games. Of course, there are only like 6 NUON games and I don't really care about Space Invaders. Tempest 3K, Freefall, and Merlin Racing - 2 of those bad boys are Jag game sequals. (Tempest 2K and Atari Karts). Iron Soldier 3 should be coming in the mail sometime this week.

The Helper
Thats a good question - I know there are PAL and NTSC Jaguars but are there PAL and NTSC versions of the Jaguar CD? I know that the Jaguar CD I have works with NTSC Jaguars but I have no idea if it works with a PAL one. No the CD unit does not have a box - its just the unit, power supply, and game - though the game has its cd case, overlay and its docs. Stone
Hi, There are no regional variations in the JagCD - one bought in the US will work on a PAL Jaguar and vice versa. The nationality of the Jag is not really relevant, since the JagCD has no direct connection to the video output at all, it's just a bit on the board changed. And my Jag changes between 50/60 Hz at the flick of a switch and still works with the JagCD in it, so I'll give it my personal guarantee of working-ness A much more pertinent question is whether the power supply will work in the UK, to which the answer is no. You will have to buy a UK power supply (preferably official but some others do work so look in the JagFAQ for the specs - I can't remember off-hand). Stick the agCD in your Jag, stick the UK power supply in the JagCD and all will be well. Now for my question - how much is shipping one game to the UK? I'd quite like to test my JagLink with Doom, since I bought one in anticipation of getting two copies and never got around to it... Cheers, Stone
Stone
Incidentally, please post replies to me to JI2 or to my email address: the_stony_1@hotmail.com Or just the_stony_1@hotmail.com in plaintext. I don't come here much (ie at all ) so there's little point in posting to me here. Thanks. Stone
The Helper
Check here http://ircalc.usps.gov/weight.asp?Contents=1 Choose United Kingdom as the mail to country and enter the weight of one jag game in the box (I cannot remember off hand) I think about 8 - 10 ounces. Looks like $7.50 to ship Air to Letter Post on 10 ounces.
Stone
OK, thanks. Still rather steep, better than the $28.50 debacle I suppose I will never understand postage rates, it's just one of those things not worth even trying, like the diff. calculus I'm supposed to be learning about I can probably get a copy of Doom cheaper for Christmas (in the Xmas hols at least, head off to an EB for one) so i think I'll pass this time. Many thanks anyway. Stone
