dollopx
Just a short, non - spaming question about the Atari.Com url. There was a thread runing last week pointing out that Atari is now owned by Infogrames, and that Infogrames intends to rename itself Atari, if so then why does Hasboro still own / operate (poorly) the Atari.Com url? Mindfield
They probably own the URL and likely will 'til it's up for renewal, at which point Infogrames will undoubtedly snap it up. I doubt Mattel has even touched that page in ages.
dollopx
Hmmm, interesting theory. Thanks for helping.
Wntermute
Actually, if I remember correctly.. the Atari.com domain is owned by Hasbro Interactive, which is now a part of Infogrames. The process of combining company assets, Information Systems & Public Relations departments (which would both have a say in an Internet presence), and other corporate-level rigamarole is what's holding up a site overhaul at Atari.com, HasbroInteractive.com, AND Infogrames.com. In fact, if you look on all three of those sites, you won't see a mention of the PalmOS games that were noted in the news here a few days ago.
