RangerG
I am sure this has been a question before, but what is your favorite joystick for the Atari 2600? I love the old reliable 2600, but my wife likes the Epyx 500XJ (I am lucky to have a wife that plays Atari, although her game selection at times leave me playing Amidar and Freeway constantly). Are there any auto-fire joysticks out there because with games like centipede and many others my/our hands hurt like crazy after gaming (as an architect she uses the computer at work and her hands hurt from that already so it is actually a problem). Thanks -- RG
Charlie_
My telegames 7800 controller with auto-fire :-) (It plugs in too tight though......) Charlie
Unbeliever
I'd have to say the original stick still serves well through almost all my 2600 titles....although the paddles DO come in handy!
Joel D. Park
I like the original Atari Brand joysticks the best, but I use alot of Gemini GemStiks since they are so close to the originals. Then my next choice is the Wico Command Control joystick which is unbreakable and super sensitive.
Hakogame 箱亀
Last week I found out that a 9-pin Gravis advance PC gamepad works with the atari without any alteration, not that it's a ton better than the original stick, but I found this out after modifying another one to work with my Colecovision. videotwit
Like many of the other posters in this topic, I definitely prefer the original 2600 stick.
Malix
I prefer the X-pad on the Genesis Controllers.(I know I know, I suck)

I end up playing Dr. Mario or Tetris for five hours As for joysticks, I'd have to say the Gemini GemStik's are very nice. They have a paddle built in, so you don't have to bother taking them out. Some people complain that the joystick chews up their hands, but I've never had any trouble with it. --Zero
