Atarisoft for other consoles

I just had a Commodore 64 hooked up in my flat ^_^ and in the box of games that came with it were a few Atari titles! The 2 or 3 that I played were actually quite good (Donkey Kong and Moon Patrol).

I've read that Atarisoft did a terrible job with Intellivision games (though I have not played them personally). What systems/games did Atarisoft do for other systems that you would consider "outstanding"?

I agree about the Atari Soft Commodore 64 titles. Every one I've ever played has been very good.

 

I don't know about the intelli.

Atarisoft made 3 games for the Intellivision: Defender, Pac-Man & Centipede.

 

Dig Dug was produced at Atarisoft and it was first released by INTV.

Galaxian and Moon (Matt) Patrol on the ColecoVision are great. Defender and Centipede weren't so hot, though... both of those games are kind of stiff in my opinion.

So, Blackjax, were you referring to Joust in your post? Sure sounds like it...

Atarisoft also developed a few of those titles for the Sinclair Spectrum -- presumably to hit the Brits, since it seems like more people owned domestic machines (Speccy, Enterprise, BBC, etc.) than what to them would be foriegn (Atari, C=, etc) ones. They actually weren't bad for a Z80-based machine with tile-based display and piezo buzzer sound (on the Spectrum 48; I don't think there were Spectrum 128 versions)

Centipede for Intellivision was okay, though after like 30,000 points the spider starts moving around so fast. Pac-Man could've been better, though it's not as bad as the Atari 2600 version. I have not owned or even tried Defender to even comment.
