mvigor
Pitfall II cannot be easily emulated or used on the Supercharger or Cuttle Cart because it uses a on-board sound chip that no other game used. So why not remove the part of the code that plays the loverly background music and uses that chip? Couldn't the game then be emulated, Supercharged or "Cuttled"? If so, someone who knows how desperately needs to do this so that we can all start coming up with new maps for this game, possibly even a multi-load game or one taking advantage of the Cuttle Cart's 64K size "limit". That would be very cool. -Matthew
Eckhard Stolberg
Pitfall II already is emulated in z26 and PCAE. The extra chip also provides the spite graphics data, so you can't easily remove the code that reads from the extra chip. You would have to do a major rewrite of most of the display routines, and I'm not sure that even then you would be able to achive a similar result. So I don't think you would be able to get this game going on the Supercharger or the Cuttle Cart. Caio, Eckhard Stolberg
