sku_u
Can anyone point me to a good review of Alley Cat, preferably one with screenshots? What type of game is it?
Goochman
Great game - excellent sound - Too many screens to post but here are a few: splash screen - start screen closeline - Here the cat needs to jump up using the cans and closelines to navigate into a window - The mice can drop the clothes and hence the cat, stay too lon on the bottom and a dog comes out and a fight ensues - entertaining window - get into a window and 1 of atleast 6 or 8 unique screens away you - In this one you need to get into the fishbowl to eat the fish, you leave 'catprints' on everything that the broom tries to shoo you back out the window fishbowl - into the bowl and eat the fish, I dont remember having pet eels though Really fun game. My favorite 'window' is the one where 6 dogs lay sleeping with milk bowls - You have to 'drink' their milk and not away them or a fight happens - You see the dogs eyes start to open and a growl at which point you need to move on to another bowl and come back after the dog has gone back to sleep

wrenchien
alleycat is fun.. and though the pc version isn't as colorful thanks to cga/vga limitations..., it's pretty good too. i could tell you how much it made the college days bearable to be able to play alley cat once in a while, even if on school computers. which many people did, btw, back in the 80's. before that whole internet thing landed in everyone's lap.. and everyone suddenly realized.. that beyond their hometowns they'd probably not dared to venture beyond in their entire lives.... people like them.. existed. or not like them, anyway, but anyway, they existed. Atarigrub
For an Alley Cat review and more go to www.ataricave.com and either use the Platform button on the left-hand menu or select Alley Cat from the drop-down menu. It's possibly one of the most original games you can play with a great variety of levels, although sometimes difficult with that flying broom sweeping you around!
