I like to use the debugger system on PCAE to learn programming the Atari 2600 and change things without dealing with reassembly. Unfortunately, when I try to change code using the MEM, button on cartridges over 4K, it changes the code, but when running, it does not and it is back to original code. Is there a way to do this or is the PCAE debugger system buggy for cartridges over 4K? Also, the bank display says 4 sometimes, but it only a 8K cartridge.
