Retsa
Greetings. A couple years back, I looked into Atari2600 emulation because I wanted to beat some of those old, seemingly impossible games that I never did have much luck with on the Atari. I did find an emulator with a handy Save State function (hotkeyed for quick use), and this is how I finally saw the ending to Solaris. Now I am looking for that emulator again, and am not having much luck. None of the three "big name" emulators (PC Atari, Stella, Z26) seem to have the feature, at least not in the convenient way it was on the other emulator I had used. Anyone know what emulator I may have used? Or is there a stable, solid emulator these days (like Z26) that _does_ have quick Save State? Thanks in advance. Adrian M
Not that I'm aware of. On the Mac side, the answer is a definite no. On the Wintel/Linux side, out of the emulators I've tried, none incorporate savestates so far. Sure would be handy for games like Secret Quest and Dark Chambers! NE146
PCAE has save states. F11 to save, F12 to load. I use it all the time to do dumb things like beat HERO, to see all the scenes in X-Man, and to roll a perfect 300 in Bowling
