peter
I have an ancient Atari, dating from 1978/79 and purchased in UK. I assume it is Atari 2600, although no info is shown on the unit! Its power supply unit is long since lost, and I need to know the input voltage, and if the tip of the connector plug is positive or negative. I have a mains adaptor with adjustable power output (1.5v, 3v, 4.5v, 6v, 7,5v, 9v, 12v) which I hope I can use.
Chuck Gill
Oldman, It's 9 volts DC, 500ma (minimum), the tip is positive. Have fun. -Chuck
+Mitch
Does it say VCS on it? If so, then it is a 2600. The power supply output ratings are 9v DC 500mA tip positive. It sounds like your adjustable power supply should work fine. Good Luck! Mitch http://atari7800.atari.org
peter
Hey guys! Sincere thanks for your VERY PROMPT help! Very much appreciated. My daughter, who is at University, saw the Atari in the attic and asked if she could take it back to her flat - so now I'm pleased to be able to get it working. Must have been in the attic for at least 15 years!!
