Curt Vendel
Just added a new update to the Atari Museum website: http://www.atarimuseum.com/whatsnew/04102005.html This week I will be adding a lot of internal photo's and video's from Atari's buildings, and people. Today's update is a 14 minute long streaming wmv video file (15mb's) showing the inside of the Atari HCD (Home Computer Division) Shows offices, a computer room, programmers stations, and a "Black Friday" layoff party... Curt Vendel
You tend to wonder There is actually another video, done by coin-op with nude women playing Atari Football X's & O's arcade games, you see people smoking pot, they are tossing coin-op cabinets off the roof... that one is held VERY close to the vest by the coin-op guys and I don't think that will be hitting a streaming video server anytime soon. Curt Damn! That sounds like a fun time! Well, except for tossing cabinets off the roof. That don't sound fun.
Curt Vendel
Well, the whole tossing thing part of the video, its supposed to be a parody on Atari's dry and boring sales video's, at one point you see a refrigator box and you see a bunch of engineers coming over, tossing electronics, wood, bannana peels and the kitchen sink, the narrator is stating "At Atari, our engineers put in only parts meeting the highest quality, we spare no expense, everything is included, even the kitchen sink" A little stop motion magic, and the box is lifted up and a Centipede arcade is now made... The cabinet dropping... "Our engineers throughly test all equipment to ensure proper reliability" then over the empty cabinet goes off the roof of the coin-op building. mos6507
This stuff is phenomenal. I never knew there was any video quite like this. It was only at the very end of Warner Atari that camcorders were starting to come down in price.
