This is a weird little thing, I'll let part of the description speak for itself. Anyone think this thing is even worth close to the asking price of $200?

features a COMPLETE home video game system loaded with 128 games similar to the most popular Arcade games of ALL TIME! You can play games that emulate such classic 70's & 80's arcade games as Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Galaga, Galaxians, Star Gate, Donkey Kong, Super Mario Bros., Burger Time, Tetris, Space Invaders, Joust, Dig Dug, and over a hundred more classic games right on your TV! Hey Junie!

I work with a guy who bought one, the exact same box and all.

It plays ripoffs of the NES games. For example, Contra is called about 10 different things, and the letters for KONAMI have been change ti KO A I, spaces and all on the title screen. Pipe World is Super Mario, you get the point.

Neat system, think he paid like 60 for it. Interestingly, it takes batteries or power plug, and takes cartridges. We have not been able to figure out what kind of carts (I have tried about 20, none have the same board finger layout). Gun games are pretty neat on it, too. Not a single manufacturing address, name, etc on the ENTIRE system or box. Wierd

I'd be careful. I saw units like this at the flea market this week-end. I actually almost got one. There was one that boasted 8,000+ games. (Altho a run thru of the menu appeared to include the same titles over and over with different names.) Another one had 64 different games. It looked like Playstation 1 and was called Polyvision 1. It was very cheaply made. There was one other unit there that I didnt get a close look at...At that point I had decided not to buy since they were obviously rip-offs...And very cheaply made... The cost for the 8,000+ was $30.00 so I almost bought it. Oh BTW the games were all Nintendo games. One cool thing on the polyvision is that when you hit the "open" button, The top opened like the playstation...But there was no disc drive... Just a slot that looked like you might have been able to insert a Nintendo game into it!! Top load style.

Either way aren't these weird and rip-off things valuable to collectors/players? I imagine there are not very many of these things produced.

It does sound rather neat about the cartridge ports, perhaps new games can be added? Anyone have any idea where these things come from?

The Polyvision sounds neat Moycon, a new NES

I never thought of it like that Junie. Hmmmmm I saw about a dozen of these things at the Flea Market. BTW this Flea Market is about 80% Latino. I wonder if these come from Mexico??? Also they seemed to very cheaply made.... Thats why I didnt buy one. Altho to be fair I didnt really look at it for very long.I think I might keep an eye on that auction. And perhaps go back to the Flea Market and purchase a few of them. One thing I noticed the controller looked like a playstation controller I it had a 9 pin end on it...Like Atari!!!

I have several things come from Mexico, including some t-shirts with the Disney characters (Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, etc.) and had Disney tags, but only cost $1.00 each and were not very high quailty.

I myself buy anything video gaming related, I'd snatch up everything there if I had the money (Which I usually have very little of it seems ).

I would imagine a lot of other people would be interested in these items as well. So even if you don't want them to play or collect I imagine you could make some easy money.

The Playstation 1 looking controllers sound really neat (I hate using the word neat, but there is no other word to use beside a even worse one- cool..). I created new controller ports to add new buttons to my controllers but for one main reason, to have a controller to use on the Atari 2600 instead of a Joystick.

The import Atari 7800 controllers are hot items on eBay, I imagine the Playstation 1 look alikes would do really good if they worked on the Atari systems.

Ok, great just let me know. If they do would you mind picking-up a couple extra and selling them to me for small profit?
