I have been having this reoccurring idea for a type of MST3K 2600 game. I love the MST3K hack for the 2600 but I felt quite alone without having Mike Nelson, (and or Joel Robinson) Crow, and Tom Servo. So had this idea, thats probably pretty impossible, but it consists of the worst games ever made, and adding Mike and the bots at the bottom of the screen. Then whenever you play it, they make comments that come up in talk bubbles. Once in a while they point to the screen and move too, when you reach ceartain parts of the screen or get a ceartain ammount of points. I know its probably impossible but I think it would be incredibly fun and funny.

Oh yeah, Im a HUGE fan, I got a replica robot of Crow that I made and everything. I even make my own fan film spin offs of them.

Mystery Science Theater 4000

Some may say my series is a rip off... It is... But they sure are fun to make!

I wish someone could make this idea though, it would be the best game ever, in my opinion.

Dude, that rocks! Making your own MST, wow, that's awesome. I'd like to do something like that, but sadly, I don't have the knowledge/time/resources to do that. Besides, it would look like I'm ripping YOU off now ! Still, that's awesome. I tried to build my own Crow once, but got as far as the bowling pins and ping pong balls. I don't have the money to divide between the rare parts and Atari games, but building one, that's a major accomplishment. I hope you find someone to help with this project.

On 2600 -- ugh, it would not be worth the effort.

Uh, yes it would. The hack was great, but making a game like that, that would be the ultimate.

The rare parts I couldnt find, I just replaced with "look alike parts" My Crow looks like the KTMA episodes Crow, with only one set of Tupperware Florier. And the catchers mask, was a real catchers mask, that I sawed up to make it look like the original, and painted it gold. The soap dish, I made myself with some plastic, and I cut and shaped it. (The plastic was from a left over bowling pin.) The final completed version only cost me about 15 bucks. And it looks almost just like the real deal. The only real hard part was building the mouth.

And for the game, I hope someday this idea comes true, I also think it would rule. So if any programmers out there want to make Atari/MST3K history, please consider this. lol,

Yep, I live near Mansfield and Ashland. I have never gotten the chance to actually see a KTMA episode yet. I always wanted to, I need to buy one somewhere or something, I have the opening of one I downloaded off of Morpheus though. I thought it looked pretty cool. I like that local T.V. look too, lol. Like Big Chuck & Lil' John? lol I just wish I could buy the rights to MST3K and make a local spin off legally. I would LOVE to make that show for a living.

Man it sucks, I got a dish and cant get channel 55, so I cant get to see The Ghoul! I watched it a couple of times when I could manage to get it in with some rabbit ears on this old T.V. I used to have in my room, but I have to rely on my dad telling me about how great the Ghoul is, lol. But with the dish service we can get 3, 5, and 8. and channel 43. But thats it. It sucks. I did find a book on Ghoulardi and the Ghoul once and read that though.

Thats wierd that I mentioned not having it, then the same day my dad finds out that we just got it... Uncanney... But totally cool!

P.S.

Any programmers who have read my first message, and idea, please take STRONG STRONG STRONG CONSIDERATION OF IT, you would be creating the best game in the history of 2600, (in my opinion... And Im sure a few others) If you would like to consult it with me, please email me at martymcflybttf@hotmail.com

I'd say it'd be on par with "Xenophobe", and knowing me, that's saying a lot. I'm obviously one of the others, heh heh. As for The Ghoul, why not just set the VCR timer? That's what I do.

You'd be asking the right guy:

-Karate (#1 choice)

-Chase the Chuck Wagon (rare but awful)

-Anything Swordquest

-ET (naturally)

-Texas Chainsaw...

-Airlock

-Skeet Shoot

-Infiltrate

-Combat (to dull to be fun nowadays)

-Rampage

-Double Dragon (I like this one, but most consider it bad)

-Tomarc

and sooooooooooo many others. But perhaps the games that'd get the most laughs are anything, I mean ANYTHING, by Mystique or Playaround. Man, those would have some great riffs. Once again, SOMEONE PLEASE HELP! MST3K FANS DEPEND ON IT!

Yes, please help programmers! I emailed one programmer I know to see if he will help I also would like to see if Tim Snider would like to be involved, when not busy, since if not for him I probably wouldnt of had this idea. I decided to call it Mystery Science Theater 2600 The Series. Since I figured we could make a couple of these, for example MST2600: Custers Revenge

MST2600: Chase the Chuckwagon

MST2600: Karate

ect.

That is if they are remotely easy to program, if they are too difficult we might only make one or two. But hopefully we can find programmers to do this. I keep wondering if maybe this post is invisibe to everyone except me and you, Atari King, lol. Well except Cafemans rather negative comment... But hey constructive critisism does help, they say. But I think this game will rule if made. SO PROGRAMMERS PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD REPLY!

...Thank you...

Hey gang,

Thanks for the kudos in a previous message. MST2600 was the first Atari tinkering I did and it's the one I have the most sentiment for. I'm very proud of the way that graphic hack turned out.

All I ask - and this is important - is to name your series something OTHER than MST2600. You see, that was one of the facets of the game I was most proud of thinking up. I even programmed it to read MST2600 at the bottom of the screen. May I suggest "Mystery Science Atari 2600?" After all, the riffing is on games, not theater, is it? Just re-think the title is all I ask. Thanks.

Finally, I'd be happy to offer advice, but not programming this project. I'm too busy with my own new game seen right here, and I won't have time to do anything more than offer a few words of encouragement.

Good luck guys!
