Gameboy Advance Atari 2600 Emulator?

Here is the original thread where Andrew Davie announced his Atari 2600 emulator for GBA.

I know you have been busy with Qb , but, have you done any more work on your Atari 2600 Emulator for Gameboy Advance?

 

Having a working version of this would probably push me into getting a flashlink setup.

A current version is available from www.2headed.com/2600.bin - this contains a few sample ROMs, including Qb. It's a binary for the Gameboy Advance, which runs on emulators and hardware. It's more a proof of concept than a really playable/practical demo at the moment. I think it's running <10fps, way too slow. I have some definite potential for speedup, but don't know when I might find the time for that. Hopefully I will be too busy doing paid work.

 

But anyway, a 30Hz emulator for the GBA is most definitely possible. I am absolutely sure of it. I just don't know at this stage if I will continue this effort. It has been an excellent learning-vehicle for me, though, so no regrets.

Andrew Davie: I'm sorry to hear that, but not sorry to hear you are busy with real work. Your 2600 emulator looked like the most promising one out there. I hope you will find the time to do it sometime. Take care.
