I always cut the flat wire off the Radio shack RF switches. :-)

I would suggest an A/B switch.

Run your cable to the A input.

Connect the switchbox to the B input.

This way when your going to play atari you put your TV on Channel 3 switch to B and your having fun. :-)

All you need is the A/B switch and an aditional cable wire. The a/b switch I have from rs is nice it mounts right to the side of my TV stand.

Don't forget about the female RCA to male "F" converter! Necessary little device because you have to run the 2600 output lead into the thing in order to get it to match up with the A/B switch.

Yep. That's the only way to go, as far as I'm concerned -- doesn't mess up your cable, and you get that crystal clear signal from the 2600 (or, in my case, the 7800 emulating a 2600).

We just moved about two weeks ago and i just got cable hooked up yesturday. Well my radio shack swich box for my 7800 i have hooked up in my liveing room is hurting the cable signel on a few of my cable chanels. I know why it's doing it but what can i get that wont mess up the cable? I have radio shack RF swich box with both VHF and UHF out put. The biggest prob is above chan 12. so im thinking the swich box with just the VHF out put and no uhv would do the job. Is there anything besides that i can get? Maybe radio has one thats made for cable ?
