Nateo
As for myself, I usually wait until lots of ghosts are grouped together, nab a power pill, and crunch the ghosts. And when I am going for survival instead of points, I tend to use the tunnels a lot on account of the ghosts seldom using them to get around. ubersaurus
If I recall, the arcade version had patterns one could take advantage of. I wonder if any were ever developed for the 2600 version.
Nateo
I don't think the arcade version of Ms. Pac-Man had any kind of pattern, it was randomized.
Tempest
Only the fruit selection was randomized (after the bananna board), the boards had a pattern. But since you can't predict what fruit is going to appear you can't get to a set score before the level 256 bug. I believe at level 256 the dots dissapear. StanJr
I usually play to survive until I get the only extra life you are ever awarded, then I just play to avoid the ghosts and eat as many as I can late in the maze, until the power pills become useless (due to their 1 sec. duration). Then I just run for my life. Ms. Pac-Stan

NE146
quotethe boards had a pattern You sure? I know that no pattern works on any arcade Ms. Pacman (ditto for the 2600 version) Well, then again there is this certain pattern on the 2nd board where you pass through the blue ghost but it's only for the first couple of seconds that's it's really consistent enough to do that.. So I wonder if there is a certain initial pattern in each board but the ghosts randomize after that. hmmmm.... p.s. If anyone's interested in the 'pass-through-the-blue-ghost' pattern, just let me know
mikebossy
I do remember that. Post how. Please.
NE146
sure! 2nd maze, do this: You'll pass right through Inky (aka the blue ghost) Just be sure the Red ghost doesn't come down your way though.. remember, like I said.. there are no true patterns
