Osmeroid
I came across this odd-ball on eBay (UK) this morning - anyone else ever come across this game before? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...item=1347807471
moycon
Hmmmm Maybe its just baseball???? I dunno... Crickets played in a straight line though isn't it? Wierd
Osmeroid
Could be Moycon. If it is genuine it will probably involve something like this.... The bottom quarter of the screen filled in green, the rest is pale blue, pick your team (England) vs anyone else. The screen does not alter for six hours (the manual suggests consuming beer and sandwiches). After six hours of nothing happening, the screen will flash the message *England lost* and the game ends. StanJr
Did anyone stop to think that this might actually be a Video Cricket (chirp chirp)? Now how do you plug a bug into the VCS?
ATARIPITBULL
You don't, you step on it.

ratfink
My two guesses about "Crab Control": Activision's Frostbite or Crackpots (those spiders look like crabs I guess).
moycon
I bid on Video Cricket... He cancelled the auction because he stated the Auction title was incorrect??? Im guessing it wasn't what he thought.
Osmeroid
I agree with Ze_ro, about CC - how bad is that?!? I'm sorta' tempted to bid on it just to find out what it really is.... Video Cricket? What next? Atari's 'Video Wallpapering'?!?
liquid_sky
crab control???
Osmeroid
It could be worse, how about PB's other VDC?

DuckandCover
Maybe Crab Control was a rare Australian release similar to Tooth Protectors. Instead of educating kids about oral hygiene, Crab Control was about the perils of venereal disease.
Stella'sGhost
That crab control game has the same picture and cartridge style as Inca Gold by Zellers - which is actually Montzuma's Revenge I think, so this game is obviously a copy of some other game, but what that is who the hell knows. weaselbrains
Crab Control is a hack of Crackpots - the spiders really do look like crabs. I'm not exactly sure brand name it was packaged as - the label has the same picture as is used on some Hi-Score carts, but Hi-Score carts have a different case. I have a few of these carts, the only boxed one has a blue box that just says Atari Compatible with no brand name. I think it is probably the same kind of cart but I'm not sure. Here's a (crappy) picture of the boxed cart null mitchell
Ze_ro
I hope it comes with some of the special shampoo... As for Video Cricket, since there's no picture, it could easily be just a seller who doesn't know what he has. I saw a guy selling what he claimed to be a version of Rocky for the 2600... inside his description, he also called it an Intellivision cartridge, and the picture was of the ColecoVision cartridge! --Zero
Osmeroid
I'm really tempted to bid on this cart. Is it a pirate or original? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...indexURL=0&rd=1 Exciting sounding title! weaselbrains
The game is a pirated game that uses the same picture as other Taiwanese pirate games. Rainbowvision games are mostly hacks of Activision games. Rainbowvision games were distributed by Rainbow Music in Australia - a record label that from memory put out mostly compilations and 'not by original artist' records. The same saller some more boxed Rainbowvision games up for auction. I bid $14.50 on two of them but Atari-France had already bid higher than me
Ze_ro
That's an odd game... I can't even think what it would be if it were a pirate of something! If anyone here gets it, be sure to post a description! --Zero
slapdash
If I remember correctly, Netmaker is the RainbowVision pirate of Amidar.
