BLIX
I just got my 2600 jr form Pitfall Harry today "thanx abunch" I hooked it up and tried all the games, I gotta say it brings back a ton of memories Ive been playing Berzerk for an hour now, my Fav game I thought there was a face or somthing that came after you in that game, havent seen it yet. I love my 2600, its been decades since ive played one so im sure my X-Box, PS2, Gamecube and so forth will be gathering dust for a awhile. jaybird
There's nothing like going back and re-living your first video game memories. If you're like me, you'll find yourself frustrated with the complexity of today's games and playing the 2600 more and more. No amount of awesome graphics or killer sound beats good gameplay, and that's what the Atari 2600 was all about.
Atari freak 1
Most of my memories came from the nes. But I also have alot of memories that go along with the snes too.
BLIX
Well to tell the truth most of my memories are with the NES also, But I did have a 2600 first and spent hours and hours with pacman and defender. I now collect mainly NES games, but now will also grab 2600 carts when I see'em.

Then try a different game variation. Evil Otto doesn't appear in every game. Or have a look at the manual here at AtariAge.
NE146
hahaha yeah Blix don't forget that a lot of 2600 games vary wildly in their gameplay depending on what game variation you choose and what your difficulty switches are set to. Read the manuals for sure!
Pitfall Harry
Hey Blix! Glad to hear it arrived safely. Have fun. Ben
KAZ
Congrats on getting your Atari 2600! I'm still waiting for mine. It is silly that I have a bunch of Atari 2600 games that I've collected, but no system to play them on (because it is coming from Canada). I've NEVER owned an Atari 2600, only the 5200. So you can imagine that I'll be pretty happy if and when it actually arrives. I too remember playing 2600 football, pitfall, river raid, and pacman at a friends house like 20 years ago. And the colecovision at another's house (like only a few times). Was porky's ever made for the colecovision, or was it the commodore 64, I just can't remember, but I know I saw it when I went to this guy's place. It might have even been a tandy or something goofy like that.
