videotwit
Hey all! I just posted the very first part of my newest reincarnation of ULTRAtwit.com. So far it's just my sale lists, but the future has much in store. Eventually I hope to have some classic-feel online games, and other fun toys. Check it out. Let me know what you think! Lemmi
I like the set up, but the colors are not much to be desired especially the Sega page and the 2600 page, kinda hard on the eyes
videotwit
Aw, c'mon. The colors are my favorite part!
weaselbrains
The site looks great, but when I use Internet Explorer (5.0) the boxes that the text is in don't join up right - the sides are a little higher than the top and bottom. I had a look at your code and saw that the borders of the text boxes are images - couldn't you achieve the same thing using a table with a border of 1 pixel and a cellpadding of about 5 pixels. That table would contain a single cell, then you could put another table inside it for the contents of the textboxes. Don't know if I'm making sense here so I hope you can understand what I'm trying to say. It works just fine in Opera 5 though. mitchell
videotwit
weaselbrains: I'm assuming you are on IE5 for the PC, correct? I've tested it in IE5 for the Mac and everything lines up just fine. Anyhow, it isn't just a simple line that surrounds each box -- it's a 3-pixel mini-bevel effect. In any case, I cannot achieve exactly the same effect using just tables, unfortunately (I wish I could, it'd be easier). I'll try to jump on a PC today and take a look-sie at it. Thanks. weaselbrains
Hi Scott Yeah, it is IE5 for PC. I think you probably could get the same effect using tables if you use bordercolorlight and bordercolordark tags. But how many browsers support this? I'm not too sure and it just occurred to me now that older browsers might not support it. Anyway, I made a page quickly to show you what I mean here's my example mitchell

Actually borderlight and borderdark are proprietary Microsoft IE attributes. I don't want to go there (I'd like to try to keep it cross-platform). I'll just have to play around with trying to tweek the code to work on a PC, I guess.
