8_is_enuff
GCC Millipede!! I had never heard of another Millipede. Is it completely different than the Atari version, i.e. written separately from the ground up? Or is one version a variation of the other?
adamchevy
The TB hack of Millepede is the best. Centipede on the 7800 with Teamplay and a Supertwin 78 is the best way I’ve ever played Centipede.

It is explained here: http://www.atariprotos.com/2600/software/millipede/gccproto.htm I've not played it, but Atarimania has a PAL version of the rom in the collection there
gorfcadet
I love both, and also the 7800 Centipede as well! Some of the absolute best in the Atari collection!
Lynxpro
The TB hack of Millepede is the best. Centipede on the 7800 with Teamplay and a Supertwin 78 is the best way I’ve ever played Centipede. I'd have to say 2-player co-op on 7800 Centipede-TB* is the best. You can use 2 CX22s, 2 CX80s, or 1 of each and it works flawlessly. Mind you, if someone hacked the 5200 version of Centipede and/or Millipede and added 2-player co-op modes to them, then they'd be best due to default because of the CX53 Trak-Ball. That and the POKEY audio. *The cart is available here at AtariAge's Store, of course!
louisg
I have to go for Millipede on 2600 but Centipede for arcade. I'm not great at arcade Millipede, so I have to knock it down a notch I enjoy both quite a lot and often alternate between the games, falling back to Centipede after having my ass handed to me by Millipede. On the 2600, though, that Millipede port is just amazing. It's such a frantic game with so many different elements, and I think the pace is just a bit slower than the arcade one, giving me more time to strategize. I didn't discover it until the 00s, and I was shocked to see the 2600 pulling it off so well. So the question is WHICH Millipede do you think is better. The Atari version or the GCC Prototype?I find it a tossup to be quite honest Whoa! There's something I didn't even know existed. I think it looks alot better than the released version, but the gameplay is not as good as the Atari version.
AW127
I always liked "Centipede" more, also in the Arcades.
Syzygy1
Both, taking my stories for them into account (same thing except with millipedes in the second)
