videotwit
... the mice do play ... Now that everyone and their brothers are in Las Vegas for CGE, it gives all of us poor souls who can't get there this year a splendid opportunity. I know I am planning on going on "the hunt" this weekend. Hopefully the great migration to the Expo will open up the territory for me a bit. If any of us homebodies go on the hunt this weekend and have any scores, I'd love to hear about it. Hopefully I'll run across something decent. It'd make me feel better about having to miss the show. For everyone who is at the show (like any of them are reading this actually during the show), have fun!!!
liquid_sky
Twit, (i feel like im insulting you but well its your handle so ) I hope you are right, maybe there will be good deals to be found out there, and if not, all we will have to fight thru is the old ladies and not the other game freaks. videotwit
Oh well, I guess my theory didn't pan out here. I went to about a dozen thrifts and 1 flea market today and came across nothing at all to buy. I did see a few common items, though: 2 different 2600 cart holders Pac-Man Combat Home Run Missile Command And a box of commons at the Flea market (nothing worth buying though) So much for wishful thinking. liquid_sky
today I managed to find one thing of intrest.. but I had no use for it... it was the commadore64 cartridge of Mountian King... aside from that NO Atari items were to be found anywhere
+Mitch
Well, I had some moderate success. I picked up a heavy sixer with the original joysticks (the ones with the springs) and paddles. It also came with 13 games and one of those Atari suitcase made for the 2600. They wanted $30 but I talked them down to $25. I also picked up a boxed Jag with two games for $15. Not a bad day. videotwit
Mitch- The suitcase alone makes that find worth while! Very nice.
d8thstar
the only thing i found was an atari floor lounge chair. let me try and describe it. it looks like an inverted "T". you sit on the padding (that sits on the floor), the back which has the atari logo on it leans back at a cool 70-75 degree angle and then the back part on the floor is for stability... now if this thing only had a drink holder for my beer, i'd never stop playing games.... BassGuitari
When the cats away, the mice do play, but the best laid plans of mice and men often go astray. You dug up a 16-year-old thread for that?
TheTIGuy
You dug up a 16-year-old thread for that? Oops! i skipped to the last page of threads! It was a mistake, although a funny one at that. Should have noticed "anyone else going to CGE 2001 a few centimetres below it. onmode-ky
Heh, I was going to post in the PAL thread you revived that there wasn't much point to answering a nearly 16-year-old question posted by a guy who hadn't even logged in at AtariAge in almost 8 years. In another forum, I pondered whether one day, there might be people accidentally answering questions that were posted thousands of years ago. Q: How far is it to the Andromeda Galaxy? A: Not far enough! My stupid cousin Bob lives there and is always coming over. onmode-ky

As you can deduce from mine, I'm a bit of a Fairchild afficionado myself.
