130 xe power adapter

dose anyone know what power adapter to use on a 130 XE or the model # would be !??

 

have a few diff power adapters and can't remember what one to use !!?

 

got most of the other atari computers going, would like to take a picture of it all to put on line !!!

 

Been awhile, and it's been put away for years !!!

 

all is still working good so far !!!

Best to test your PSUs if you have a few lying around.

 

The XL/XE uses the exact same 7-pin plug as the Commodore 64.

 

But the Atari PSU is 5 Volts DC only (mines 1.5 Amps), and the C-64 has 9 Volts AC on it's PSU, so would probably blow your Atari up.

 

Mine is a local variant, it's quite possible that only a few markets got official Atari PSUs.

I dont often post here as i only have a xegs with a few carts. But,, I use a c64 PSU on mine, I forget the color of the 9V wire but i simply disconnected and removed it from the brick all the way to the plug. Its worked fine for about 2 years. Not sure of the possible risks involved.

If you have a 600XL/800XL, the power supply for that will work on the 130XE.
